2010

Designs a pilot swim lessons program that will serve 200 underprivileged children in Indiantown. 

2009

BHBTC receives new 5th wheel trailer, strengthening its mobile capacity to provide cooking services up and down Florida’s Treasure Coast and in northern Palm Beach County. 

2008

In 2008, the Big Heart Brigade separates into two independent entities: the Big Heart Brigade of the Treasure Coast (BHBTC) and the Big Heart Brigade of the Palm Beaches. 

Distributes more than 25,000 Thanksgiving dinners in Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties.  

2006

Provides over 35,000 Thanksgiving Day meals.

Sets up recycling of electronic devices at fire stations in collaboration with PaceButler Corporation and the eCycle Group.

Donates a record amount of Emergency Community Financial aid.

2005

Provides a hurricane-stricken community with 40,000 Thanksgiving Day meals and sends 4,000 meals to Waveland, Mississippi.

Awards $3,500 community service-based scholarships.

Contributes to providing armored vests for six firefighters being sent to Iraq.

2004

Provides 35,600 Thanksgiving meals.

Awards $3,500 in community-based college scholarships.

Becomes involved in the “Wheels of the World.”

2003

Expands into St. Lucie County.

Serves over 28,000 meals over a four-county area.

Launches “Community Service”-based scholarship program.

2002

Provides 16,000 meals throughout the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County.

2001

Provides 12,000 meals in Martin and Palm Beach counties.

Initiates support for the Visiting Nurses Association.

2000

Reaches the collection and delivery milestone of over 15,000 toys.

Sponsors regional Firefighters Combat Challenge.

Assists the “20/200 Foundation” for the visually impaired.

1998

Collects and provides more than 10,000 toys in six counties for Christmas.

Thanksgiving effort exceeds 5,000 meals.

Initiates support of “100 Club,” a support organization for firefighters and law enforcement.

Serves over 3,700 meals at Thanksgiving.
